  Caption Text

Definition: Caption text is text that functions to provide information about a photo or image briefly, concisely and clearly. Before social media existed, text captions were already used in newspapers or magazines to explain photos, images or graphics contained in the newspaper or magazine.

Text structure: Can include Actions/events/activities People/objects involved Scope of the situation.

Linguistic elements: Nominal phrases for objects, people, animals, locations, etc. which become

focus, with or without a, the, this, those, my, their, etc.

The photo above is a photo taken by my friend after the announcement of the FLS3N competition at the city level, the reason I used the caption "Thankyou God" on the post is because of my happiness and gratitude for the achievements that can be achieved by me and my friends, and this is my first competition to get 1st place personally.

This caption can be a short description, explanation, comment, or even a question that directs the reader to understand the image better. The importance of caption text lies in its ability to provide more meaning to the visual and help the reader understand the content presented.
